As Edition Old City Hotel (the “Hotel”), we process your personal data as data controller under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) as described below.

2. Personal Data We Process
- Identity: name, surname, ID / passport number, nationality, date of birth
- Contact: phone number, e-mail address, address
- Guest transactions: booking and stay details, room preferences, special requests, invoice details
- Financial: payment and invoice details (card details are not stored by the Hotel; they are processed by booking and payment service providers)
- Physical security: CCTV recordings in the Hotel’s common areas
- Transaction security: IP address, browser information, website usage logs and cookie data
- Marketing: campaign and newsletter preferences, only with your explicit consent
3. Purposes of Processing
- Providing booking, accommodation and guest services
- Reporting staying guests to the competent law enforcement authorities under the Identity Reporting Law No. 1774
- Invoicing, accounting and compliance with tax legislation
- Responding to requests, suggestions and complaints; measuring guest satisfaction
- Ensuring the security of the Hotel and its guests
- Operating and securing the website and, with your consent, measuring usage statistics
- Promotional and campaign communication, with your explicit consent
4. Legal Grounds and Method of Collection
Your personal data is collected, partly or fully by automated means, through website forms, the online booking system, e-mail, phone, WhatsApp, reception (check-in), online travel agencies and cookies. It is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5(2) KVKK — explicitly provided for by law, conclusion and performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, establishment, exercise or protection of a right and legitimate interest — and, for marketing communication and analytics cookies, on your explicit consent under Article 5(1).
5. Transfer of Personal Data
Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to competent public authorities (police and gendarmerie units, tax offices, judicial authorities), booking and channel management providers, payment institutions and banks, IT and hosting providers and our financial advisors. Transfers to providers with servers abroad (e.g. online booking and analytics services) are made in accordance with Article 9 KVKK.
6. Retention
Your personal data is kept for the period required by the applicable legislation or by the purpose of processing, and is then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your Rights (Article 11 KVKK)
You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties to whom it is transferred; to request its correction if incomplete or inaccurate and its deletion or destruction under Article 7; to request that these actions be notified to third parties; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damages caused by unlawful processing.
